Demonstrations at the Lebanese Parliament

20 March 1951 – Women across all areas in Lebanon congregated in massive demonstrations in front of the parliament during the parliament’s weekly sessions in order to demand their political rights. During these marches, the Head of the Arab Lebanese Women’s Union, Ibtihaj Qaddoura, submitted a petition to the president of the parliament. ¹ Other demonstrations followed in different parts of the country. ²
